New Flickr Tools Automatically Download and Organize All Your Photos

Windows / Mac / iOS / Android: Flickr has released many updates and new photo tools to make it easier to organize and access your entire photo collection. Flickr Uploadr uploads selected folders to Flickr from your desktop, and Flickr Camera Roll lets you bulk edit photos in your collection.

It’s now easier to take advantage of 1000GB of free Flickr storage, now that there is a desktop tool to automatically upload photos to the service, including external drives and iCloud. The Uploadr mobile apps have also been updated to back up existing photos on your iPhone or Android device, and Flickr will automatically eliminate duplication to prevent multiple copies from being created. Andoid and iOS apps have also added new filters and Instagram sharing.

Camera Roll lets you quickly add titles, descriptions, tags, and other metadata to selected photos. There is a new “Magic View” that organizes photos into categories such as landscapes, people, black and white, abstract, etc.

If you want to share a bunch of photos on Flickr, you no longer need to keep them all in one album. Select them in the Camera Roll album and click the Share button.

Finally, you can now also upload thousands of your photos at the same time as a zip file.

This could make Flickr the new best photo backup service (for at least about half a million of your photos).

It’s finally easy to upload, open, organize, edit and publish any photo you take | Flickr
