Make a Pueblanc Sandwich With (Mostly) Taco Bell Ingredients

Taco Bell made the headlines for Fritos flavored tacos, potato chip nachos and a host of other things that really shouldn’t be , but one thing he still doesn’t offer is any kind of Mexican sandwich. It is practically a culprit, the fact that you cannot get any type of Torta in the chain, but at the same time, there is a way to fashion a sandwich from Taco Bell orders.

Serious Eats editor Max Falkowitz demonstrates how to make cemita , the famous pueblanc trot made from a sesame seed bun with Taco Bell ingredients. You need to have a couple of ingredients on hand (namely cheese and sesame buns), but the whole sandwich is made up of a few soft tacos, some fried beans, guacamole, and salsa. You can even opt for the breakfast option (swap out soft tacos for the entire Crunchwrap breakfast) or what he calls “The Ultimate”: a crunchwrap Supreme burrito sandwich with a couple of Gorditas.
