The Perfect Lunchtime Dinner Is Something That Can Be Finished in the Oven
If the dish can be finished in the oven, you will have time for other last-minute dinner preparations such as setting the table, preparing snacks, mixing drinks, and greeting guests.
Part of organizing the perfect party is not getting stuck in the kitchen while your guests are chatting, or running back and forth to the kitchen all night. Planning a menu (especially a main course) that can be prepared ahead of time and completed in just one final step will allow you to enjoy the party you’ve put so much effort into.
For example, consider lasagne or roasted vegetables that are cooked at the same temperature. They can sit in the oven together, and you can spend more time with the guests. You can even cook them the day before the party, put them in the refrigerator, and when guests come, put them in the oven. In about an hour, you can have a delicious meal of hot dinners for guests, and your real energy will go into making sure everyone has a good time.
