Enter “Send Route” to Google to Navigate by Phone
Heading somewhere? Instead of opening your phone and looking for a location, you can now simply type “Send Directions” to Google on your computer and send those directions directly to your Android device.
It’s as easy as it sounds. Just make sure you are using Chrome (fix: it works in Firefox and Safari too!), Signed into your Google account and have an Android device connected to that account. Later:
- Open Google.com on your computer and enter “Submit Route” in the search box.
- Press Enter.
- Enter your start and end locations, select your phone from the dropdown in the top right corner, and send instructions to your phone.
- Unlock your phone and it will automatically open Google Maps with loaded routes. Careful!
Of course, you can also open your phone and say “Walk me to …”, but this is another easy option, especially if you copy and paste the address. Read more at the link below.
