Ditch Unnecessary Projects to Achieve More

You probably have one big project that’s been on your to-do list for ages. In fact, weeks or even months. Here’s a productivity tip that should help: just ditch it.

We used to think that abandoning a project is a failure. Saying “No” is difficult , especially when it comes to ourselves. However, if there is something you say you want to work on for a long time but just can’t find the motivation to do it, erase it from your to-do list. Everything he does there makes you feel guilty.

As your day coach, I give you full permission to stop telling yourself you need more discipline. Start talking honestly about what brings you joy and what aligns with your priorities. You may not be able to completely reorganize your photos folder. Or redesign your site. Instead of turning your to-do list into an exercise of guilt, waving a white flag can release mental energy for what you love to do, for what really matters, and for what propels your career.

The catch is that the projects you really want to work on have a way to get back on your list. But don’t miss the opportunity to reorganize your sock drawer. The process of deciding what to give up will help you determine where your passion really lies. In the meantime, clearing up all those burdensome tasks that you don’t really care about can give you the time and freedom you need to do what really matters.
