Punch Holes in the Vegetable Oil Bottle Cap for Better Control
Frying oil bottles have rather large spill spouts that are difficult to control. One unpredictable movement and you have added too much oil to the dish. To fix this, simply poke a hole in the foil.
If you want better control over the pouring of vegetable oil, syrup, or any other liquid ingredient, poke small holes in the foil with a fork the first time you open the bottle. Thus, the liquid does not come out as quickly.
Of course, you can always put the oil in a measuring cup and then pour it into a dish. Sometimes I pour a small amount into the lid and then carefully add. But this is a much more convenient solution, solving the problem right at the source.
