Cut the Ideal Jumpers by Cutting the Insulation First
Trimming breadboard jumpers is not the hardest thing on the planet, but it can often be tricky to make those wires perfect. Make suggests to keep everything perfect, cut the insulation first and then cut the wire.
In hindsight, the idea is very obvious here, but if you haven’t already, it will make things much easier. Just cut the wire to any length you want (obviously longer than you need) and then place it next to the breadboard. Cut the insulation to the correct length according to the breadboard, cut the wire, and you have the perfect length of jumper cable.
