Build Your Own Raspberry Pi Smartphone
You won’t think of it to get a glimpse of it, but with a little ingenuity and a lot of time, the Raspberry Pi can make a pretty decent little smartphone with its own hands. Instructables user Mach_5 will show you how to do this.
The Mach_5 build uses a Raspberry Pi Model A +, a small touchscreen, a camera, a Wi-Fi adapter, a GSM antenna, and some other details. He then launches Raspbian with a number of applications to support the capabilities of the smartphone. Obviously it’s not as powerful, sleek and functional as a real smartphone, but it’s an interesting project nonetheless. It’s also slightly more useful than previous versions of the same idea.
