What Would You Teach in a Financial Literacy Class?
Most of us agree: the world needs a little more financial literacy. Everyone talks about the need for financial education in schools. But if that were your business, what exactly would you teach?
Some types of personal finance are versatile and practical – how compound interest works, how to draw up a basic budget, how to calculate taxes. But it also has a lot to do with behavior – for example, cost overruns. What specific lessons will a lesson in financial literacy bring?
