Flat and Fuzzy Desktop
Reader Royale with Cheese loves flat desktops , and so do we. This time, his worktable pays homage to the legendary Big Muff fuzz pedal. It’s a simple flat look that says a lot if you know what to look for. This is how it all works.
Musicians and music lovers probably didn’t even need me to tell you what that pedal is for you to identify, which is part of what makes this desktop so cool. Another thing is that this is a Linux desktop, and we haven’t seen too many of them for a long time. Either way, here’s what you need to get your own Linux system to look like this:
- Wallpaper
- Flatty theme for cinnamon
- Libra theme for GTK3
- Docky launcher for the dock at the bottom of the screen.
- Ulta Flat Icon Pack to Replace Dock and System Icons
That’s all there is to know about it! If you’re already using Linux with Cinnamon on top (like Linux Mint), then everything else should be pretty easy for you. If you have questions about how all of this is set up and how you can customize such a desktop, head over to his Kinja blog (link below) to learn more about how it’s done and ask your questions.
Do you have a beautiful and functional desktop to show off? Share with us! Post it to your personal Kinja blog using the Desktop Showcase tag or add it to our Lifehacker Desktop Show and Tell Flickr pool . Screenshots must be at least 640×360 in size and include information about what you used, links to wallpapers, skins and themes, and any other important information. If your wonderful desktop catches our attention, you may be on our favorites!
