Create a “fake TV” Burglary Deterrent When You Are on Vacation
Most burglars are only interested in a place when it is obvious that no one is home . If you’re going on vacation, this DIY build gives the impression that someone is always watching TV at home and you don’t have to keep the TV on all the time.
There are products designed for this same purpose, but most of them cost a minimum of $ 25. This build from Instructables user JonBush will probably cost you a lot less, and it’s much more customizable. Using the AT Tiny 85 and some NeoPixels , the device directs the light onto blinds or curtains to make it look exactly like the TV being watched in the living room.
