Transform Your Microwave Into a Homemade Bread Dough Prover
When baking dough in a warm and humid environment, your bread can rise perfectly without the bread getting too dry. You can easily do this at home using a few common kitchen utensils and a microwave.
Professional bakers usually use proofers or proofers to stimulate the fermentation of dough in yeast bread and baked goods. Sara Phillips of Crafty Baking explains that there is no need to buy anything just for this purpose if you have a microwave. Microwave about a glass of water over high heat for one minute. Then turn off the microwave and place a lidded bowl filled with freshly made dough in it along with water. The water will continue to steam a little, and the inside of the microwave will remain pleasant and toasty. After about 35 minutes, check how the dough rises. It may take a little longer, but you will feel it in the process. When the dough is done, you can bake it in the multicooker to speed up the process even more.
