When you’re a freelancer, bad clients can ruin your life. While it can be tempting to retain a client simply because you have one, if you throw away your best work, you can hurt yourself in the long run.

Seasoned designer Aaron Draplin explains that bad customers are never satisfied. To some extent, this is the nature of freelancing, but if you give up your best work with clients with whom you cannot agree, it can make your situation worse. The work done that represents you is inadequate and you have less time for clients who might be better suited:
