Make Your Own Cable Ties From Old Elastic Cords

There are tons of great ways to keep your cables neat and organized, and using something to protect them is a big help. If you have old bungee and other materials lying around in your workshop, you can turn them into the perfect reusable cable wrap.

When it comes to cable wrapping, many people prefer Velcro, but they can work just as well, if not better, as you can resize them as you see fit. This build from Make YouTube explains how to put these helpful little guys together with just a few tools. Simply cut the elastic cord to the length you want, cut a few small pieces of pipe (or whatever you use), and drill two holes wide enough for the cord to go through. You can use whatever you have on hand for a piece of PVC pipe, even corks if they are large enough . Now you can organize and store your cables and extension cords in style.
