This DIY Dog Toy Will Prevent Your Pet From Chewing on Your Plush Toys

As much as you love your dog, there must have been several times when they destroyed something in your home. At the very least, save your stuffed animals by creating this simple toy instead for your dog to tear apart.

Construction is pretty simple, just follow these steps:

  1. Gather everything you need: a Hol-ee rollerball , strips of machine washable fabric (such as fleece), dog treats (optional). You may need to adjust the size of the ball and fabric strips to suit your dog’s size.
  2. Load the ball with fabric strips and treats. Laura, the author, says she rolls the treat inside some of the strips, but you shouldn’t do this unless your dog can figure out how to unfold the cloth (and thus eat it to get to the treat.).
  3. Unleash your puppy! They will put a ton of energy into playing and won’t leave piles of fluff around your home.

Remember, you should choose the toys that work best for your dog, so if they tend to eat what they shouldn’t, it may not be the best toy for them. You also don’t want them to end up eating the tissue and going to the vet for an expensive removal. Be especially careful and watch them to prevent this from happening.
