Protecting your tools is a top priority when traveling, and current truck drawer and body frame options leave a lot to be desired. While they offer a certain level of security, they can be awkward to access, and your tools can still be criticized if you don’t have a way to protect them.
You can build this storage system, from a 5ft compact truck platform to an 8ft full size bed. Custom-made drawer racks serve as a base, and a sturdy top covers the entire rack area (so you can use a truck platform). Combine that with a lockable truck box and you have a safe, easy-to-access storage solution that takes up a minimum of space.
