Combine Your Snow Blower and Lawn Mower Into a DIY Snow Blower
Clearing snow is the worst and snowblowers are most effective when you have a ton of snow to move. However, for light snow days, a snowplow is best. Here’s how to build it, starting with a simple snow blower.
Start by removing the auger, steel shroud, and the entire front of your snow blower. Then attach a snowplow from a utility or lawn tractor. This is a custom build, so you will definitely need to make a piece of the frame and weld it.
The snow blower will need larger tires to move in the snow, so replace the tires with larger tractor tires. These larger wheels and tires will also require you to redesign the axles and add snow chains for better traction.
