Split or Merge Finder Tabs in OS X in a Couple of Clicks
When Mavericks was released, we finally got the ability to browse in the Finder with tabs. This is great, but things can get out of hand if you open too many tabs. iDownloadBlog points to a menu item you may not have noticed before that allows you to instantly merge or split these tab windows.
When you’re looking at the Finder, simply click Window> Merge All Windows to merge all open Finder windows, or Window> Move Tab To New Window to drag a tab into a separate window. It’s simple, but handy for those moments when you accidentally come across a cluttered screen.
