Mobile Passport Simplifies Paperwork When Returning to One US Airport
Android / iOS: When you are returning from an international trip, the customs clearance process becomes difficult. A mobile passport from US Customs and Border Protection helps simplify some of these documents when you return to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta.
The app is developed by Airside, but officially recognized by the US government. It doesn’t replace your traditional paper passport, but it can save you time in line. Just enter the usual information and it will generate a QR code that staff can scan.
The catch at this point is that it is only accepted at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta. Given that ATL is a major hub for Delta, a large number of international flights are likely to return, but the program needs to be expanded. However, if you’re planning an international flight soon, it’s worth checking out.
