Find a Suitable App to Open a File Using the App Store on Mac
Sometimes you come across a file format that you’ve never seen before and that won’t open on your Mac. A quick Google search will point you in the right direction, but Macgasm points out that you can also search directly in the App Store with a single click.
Just right-click the file, point to Open With, and select App Store. The app store opens and searches for any apps that can open the selected file. It’s a simple little thing, but surprisingly useful for some of the more bizarre file formats you might come across.
