Get Better Deals at Flea Markets by Collecting Items at the End of the Day
If you enjoy frequent flea markets and yard sales, you know great discounts can be found here. If the seller is willing to bargain, you can sometimes increase your savings even further by pooling items and asking for lower prices.
As it gets late into the evening, flea market sellers and yard sales owners may be more willing to unload their merchandise. They don’t want to pack things to carry home or put things back in the garage. Lisa Rowan of The Penny Hoarder offers to take advantage of this and try to gather things that you put the eye at a discount. Pay attention to what interested you before, as you walk around and come back when the market is nearing the end to try to knock down a few dollars. Of course, you run the risk of someone else grabbing what you wanted first, but this is a risk that you sometimes have to take. Just make sure the seller is in the mood for bargaining and avoid any action that could aggravate the bargain.
