Get More Space in Garden Beds With Rounded Tops

If you really love gardening, you think about it all year round – from planning to planting and more. Of course, you want to get the most out of your garden , including the area in which you should plant your plants. Increase the area to the maximum, adding round the top of your raised beds.

Organic gardening explains why you get more space with round countertops:

Raised beds are more compact if the top of the bed is slightly rounded in an arc rather than flat. For example, a 5-foot-wide rounded bed at the base will give you an arc 6 feet above it, creating a landing surface a foot wider than a flat bed. This leg may not sound like much, but multiply it by the length of your garden and you can see that it can make a big difference in your total planting area.

If you have limited garden space – whether you have a small yard, a public garden lot, or simply don’t use most of your land for gardening – this method is especially useful. More tips on how to create a successful garden can be found in the full post at the link below.
