Do You Dine Out on Valentine’s Day (and Similar Holidays)?

Two of our favorite cooking sites, The Kitchn and Serious Eats, explain many reasons why you shouldn’t dine out on Valentine’s Day. Here are their reasons, but will it convince you?

Both sites explain that Valentine’s Day is a particularly stressful and chaotic time for restaurant staff: tables are broken up in different ways, perhaps less competent and more frustrated waiters are willing to work that night, and menu items become more expensive as couples tend to more willing to spend more money that night.

Their advice: Dine on some other evening for better service and a better experience. However, this is probably true for other holidays as well.

All of this suggests that you have orders for Valentine’s Day?
