The Best Products to Buy in Pharmacies
Sometimes in pharmacies you can buy household goods at competitive prices. But they can be very unfortunate or missed. In order to better understand what is worth checking, MoneyTalksNews collects several hits.
Generally, I’m not a fan of shopping clicks for specific deals. For efficiency’s sake, I prefer to get all my stuff in one place, even if that means I’m missing out on some lower prices. But many pharmacies offer prices that are low enough to plan a trip once a month to stock up on discounted items.
MoneyTalksNews spoke with Christy Hardcastle , who tracks and documents pharmacy transactions on her websites WildForWags and WildForCVS . Here are a few of her best items to buy over the counter.
- Personal Care Items : These items are often discounted, and many places like CVS offer money back coupons for various types of personal care items. Plus, in many cases, they put on makeup or color their hair when styling to make room for new products that often hit the market.
- Pharmacy diapers: Hardcastle says they are on sale periodically: buy one and get the other for free. You can stock up during the sale and get diapers for 12 to 13 cents apiece.
- Garbage bags sold in the store. According to Hardcastle, the quality of the bags sold in the store is excellent. And even their usual prices are usually fair. But if you can stock up when they go on sale, even better.
Hardcastle’s information is based on her experience tracking and documenting prices on her tracking websites. While not based on any hard data, I found her list to be true, at least in my own experience. As our very own Alan Henry pointed out in his post about not buying from pharmacies , the best deals are usually those that are sold or those that allow a coupon to be used. These items often fall into these categories.
