Low-Poly Island Desktop

The Saifali Reader desktop looks like something out of a pixelated fantasy game and we love it. Some of the wallpapers and some useful widgets are also easy to customize. Here’s how he did it.

Saifali introduced his desktop to our desktop showcase and this is what you should do if you want to see it here! Just post it (and how you did it) on your Kinja blog (whatever comes with your account) and tag it as a “desktop showcase”. Let’s see, see and, if you like it, imagine!

So, if you want to make this desktop your own, here’s what you’ll need:

That’s all – everything is simple and easy. We could change the colors of the clock to match the colors of the wallpaper (and maybe make them a little smaller), but otherwise the end result looks pretty harsh and we can’t complain. If you’re having trouble customizing everything, or want to know how to customize your desktop to do just that, head over to Sayfali’s post about kinja at the link below – let him know what we’ve sent you!

Do you have a beautiful and functional desktop to show off? Share with us! Post it to your personal Kinja blog using the Desktop Showcase tag or add it to our Lifehacker Desktop Show and Tell Flickr pool . Screenshots must be at least 640×360 in size and include information about what you used, links to wallpapers, skins and themes, and any other important information. If your wonderful desktop catches our attention, you may be on our favorites!
