Job Search Can Hurt Your Job Search More Than Unemployment or Age

Without a job for over a year or in your 50s, recruiters may find it harder to get you a job, but Bullhorn research shows that frequent job changes are even worse for your job prospects.

The company surveyed 1,500 recruiting agencies, corporate recruiters and hiring managers to ask them what factors most influenced a candidate’s job prospects. 39% of them said job change is the biggest obstacle, compared with 31% who indicated unemployment for more than a year. Your skill set and your age are also important, but it’s just more food for thought when deciding on whether how long to stay in the company .
