Convince Your Boss to Take You a Vacation While Learning New Skills
Taking a break from work to travel and immerse yourself in a new environment is great, but it’s hard to get your boss involved. Convince them, show them the new skills you will learn (and bring them back to the benefit of the company).
As Good.co points out, some employers are already aware of this and are offering sabbatical as part of their company’s benefits. Check with HR to see if your company has one. If not, make a list of both the skills you will learn during your break and the skills your company needs. Where they intersect, you must submit a list to your boss. This gives you a break to do something else, but both you and your office benefit from it. More tips on whether you should take sabbatical can be found in the full post at the link below.
