Protect Your Home From Dust With a Do-It-Yourself Water Solution and Fabric Softener
We already know that drying sheets help repel dust . But for a cheaper and more versatile solution, use a DIY fabric softener solution and simply spray on it.
Just as fabric softener sheets provide a barrier to dust, their liquid counterpart will work as well. Reader’s Digest offers:
Clean glass tables, shower doors and other hard surfaces and remove dust with a liquid fabric softener. Mix 1 part softener with 4 parts water and store in a spray bottle, such as an empty bottle of dishwashing liquid. Apply some solution to a clean cloth, wipe the surface, and then wipe with a dry cloth.
