Cook a Dozen Eggs at Once From the Muffin Pan
Cooking a large number of eggs at once using the traditional method is time consuming (not to mention difficult). With the muffin mold, you can make several pieces at once without any problems.
Food & Wine’s Justin Chappele explains how to do this in the video above. If you don’t want to watch the video, follow these steps:
- Pour 1 tablespoon of water into each cup.
- In each cup, break an egg over the water.
- Place the skillet in the oven at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
- Squeeze out the eggs with a slotted spoon.
- Make sure the whites are good and firm, then serve or refrigerate.
With this technique, you can cook enough eggs to be served for brunch or other event. If you don’t need a dozen eggs, use a smaller muffin pan or just leave some of the cups empty.
