Facebook Will Now Start Filtering Out Potential Newsfeed Scams
Have you ever seen a false or misleading story posted on your Facebook news feed? Well, now you can help other people find out that this is a scam and avoid spreading misinformation online on your own.
In a news update, Facebook says it will now take into account the number of people flagging a message as false and then distribute those messages less often, and annotate messages with a message that many people have reported it.
Facebook does not remove or validate posts that are deemed to be fake. They’ll just help us be misled less by things like celebrity deaths and other hoaxes that fuel our emotions. Thank you Facebook.
