Install Ceiling Speakers and Enjoy Music in Your Home
The cleanest home audio systems and home theater systems are those with speakers built into the walls and ceiling. Here’s how to hide your speakers and keep great sound.
The hardest part of installing the ceiling speaker is routing the wires to the speaker. If you have access to the back of the ceiling through a clear climbing space or attic, this is easy. But if there is no room to climb and the access is blocked by insulation, it will be much more difficult.
You also need a cutter for holes for drywall or saw for drywall to cut a hole in the ceiling, and screws to attach the mounting plate to the ceiling speaker. These screws are usually supplied with the ceiling speaker and also come with a template to help you cut the hole.
