Take Care of Yourself by Spending a Day Where Nothing Is Worth

Performance is great, but sometimes you need time to catch up. If you focus on avoiding whatever you “should” be doing, you will get the energy you need.

We all need a little downtime or we’ll burn out . A full day of avoiding responsibility may be what you need to recharge. At WNYC, they interviewed actress Ellen Burstyn, who shared her self-care tips:

I have days that I call hopeless. Today is the day I have nothing to do. So I only do what I want. And if I sleep in the afternoon or watch TV and eat ice cream, I can do it, – explains Burstyn. – I recommend them if not needed. Because I realized that we have a wiring, there is a wiring in my brain that calls me lazy if I don’t do something. God, how are you so lazy … But the wiring is there. I couldn’t get rid of it.

Laziness is not all bad. It helps to improve efficiency and makes our brains work more productively . One day or noon can be the incentive you need.
