Find in-Depth Articles on Google With the URL Trick
If your Google search just doesn’t return the quality content you want, this little url trick might find more in-depth articles on the topic you’re looking for.
Alex Chitu of Google Operating System recently discovered that Google has a section for “in-depth articles,” featuring longer posts from sites such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Wired, The Economist, and others. This seems to only work in the US, and only pops up occasionally, but you can manually invoke it by adding this to the end of the search url:
& tbs = ida: 1 & gl = us
It doesn’t work all the time and it is of course a bit limiting, but it’s worth a try if Google just doesn’t give you the results you want.
